This is an unconfirmed tip which I probably need someone out there to confirm it. You need to be heading to an Intercontinental, Crowne Plaza or Holiday Inn Hotel soon. Apparently, you can check whether your hotel room was upgraded by checking the mobile website of Intercontinental Hotels Group here http://www.ichotelsgroup.com/wireless/pc/us/en/home.action
Apparently, if you check your reservation on a computer, the room type will not show whether you got an upgrade or not. However, if you did get an upgrade, this will be visible on the mobile website. Just one of those things...
