The policy for choosing speed camera locations by WA Police are:
1. Locations of speed-related fatal or serious crashes that have occurred in the last two years;
2. Areas subject to complaints from the public to police about speeding, including calls to the Hoon Hotline;
3. School zones; and
4. Locations where more than 15% of road users exceed the posted speed limit.
