If you have an Android, Windows Phone, iPhone, Blackberry or even Symbian phone, chances are you would have already installed an app that puts advertising not just in the app itself but also intrusively in your notifications as a green + button.
It is very hard to identify which app is responsible for this but you may have noticed that if you know how to look, there is an opt-out website where you can put your phone's IMEI number (get it by dialing on your phone *#06#) on their website to opt out of the advertisements.
