American Express Platinum Priority Pass conditions you should know

The AMEX Platinum Reserve card comes with Priority Pass membership but there are some points in the fine print that you ought to be aware of before you head into one of these lounges. First of all, don't assume that because you have an AMEX Platinum Reserve card, you are automatically enrolled into the Priority Pass membership. You need to apply for Priority Pass membership separately.

Secondly, your Priority Pass membership only includes two complimentary entries into the lounge each year. Any additional entry will cost $27. The thing that stung me was that I didn't realise that Priority Pass membership does not include a complimentary entry of a guest. In the fine print, it says that any accompanying guest will incur a $USD27 charge. So just keep that in mind the next time you use your Priority Pass membership.
